I was not in a depression but, I spent a lot of time escaping over the past two weeks. While an occasional escape is a good thing... Too much of a good thing is indeed not a great thing. I cleaned up my room this weekend in between spending time with the Tiny Human. Having a cleaner living area definitely makes me feel better.

I think in many ways I am very good at overwhelming myself with too many things to do. I also have the beautiful ability to never feel like I am doing enough, making it hard to relax. On the bright side, I was able to get some meal prep done for the week after I dropped the Tiny Human off to her mother. We did get to watch, We Bought A Zoo this weekend. I have not seen that movie in ages. I think I am becoming softer in my old age. The love story aspect of that movie is truly touching. Sadly, the Monkey did not enjoy the movie as much as I thought she would.

I asked her what she was going to make me for Father's Day breakfast. She was all ready to pour me a bowl of cereal this morning. When I asked for bacon, eggs and hash browns, she informed me "She is not allowed to use the stove" and "Would burn the house down." So on that note, I made corned beef hash with over easy eggs and toast. She was doubtful of the corned beef, but grew to love it. It is one of my favorite breakfast sides, as it was for my grandfather.

On this note I am going to get ready for bed as work and morning comes very early :(:
